EXUN 2009-COMPUTER SYMPOSIUM AT DPS RK PURAM
Exun, the computer club of DPS RKPuram hosted its 14th annual computer symposium on the 14th and 15th of November. It was a grand event sponsored by Coca-Cola, Norton from Symantec, HP (Distributor-RX Infotech Pvt. Ltd.), XSys Technologies and Dominos Pizza. The symposium witnessed an overwhelming participation of more than 600 participants from over 40 schools across Delhi and NCR region. The 2 action packed days started on a good note by an instrumental performance by two students and the much appreciated Exun introductory video. The chief guest, Mr. Nitin Verma, Head of Accessories, HP, addressed the gathering. The opening ceremony was also graced by DR. D.R. Saini, Principal DPS RK Puram who spoke highly of such events. He was impressed by all the talented tech enthusiasts present and encouraged and wished them luck. This year along with the usual 7 exciting events, i.e. Senior Quiz, Junior Quiz, Crossword, Gaming, Swat the bug and Programming; Creative event was added to the list. The challenging events were conducted by the Exun alumni. The maximum score was secured by DPS RKPuram but being the host school, DPS Vasant Kunj emerged as the Overall Winners followed by DPS Mathura Road (Runners Up) and New Era Public School (Second Runners Up). The closing ceremony included an enthralling performance by the school band and concluded with the winners holding their glistening trophies. The results were simultaneously put up along with live videos, photos and other updates. Such efficiency of the clan remains unparalleled with any other such event till date. The conscientious and joint effort made by the students and computer staff alike under the guidance of Mr. Mukesh Kumar, Head, Department of Computer Science, D.P.S., R.K. Puram made the event a great success.
